I want to shine!
Of course like the sun, the most dazzling one!
But it’s too far, too bright.
How could I…!

I won’t even mind shining like a glow-worm;
Teensy-weensy,
And not of much use to the world, perhaps; but,

It delights the mourner who beholds it
In the dark, sad night.

Oh, how much do I want to shine!
